COVID-19 Transport Action Plan

We have developed a transport action plan with local authorities. It is a short-term plan that says how we are approaching transport recovery from the pandemic.

We plan to:

• provide safe and secure travel
• get workers and business safely back up and running
• support travel to schools, keeping children and families safe
• support a green economic recovery

The pandemic has led to reduced carbon emissions and cleaner air. People have been exercising more. We want to keep this going - it’s one of the aims of our plan.

We are also writing a new statutory Local Transport Plan. We will publish it later this year. The new plan will replace the COVID-19 Transport Action Plan.
