Movement for Growth strategic transport plan

We want to improve transport in the West Midlands. The Movement for Growth Strategy explains how we’ll do this. It’s based on the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Strategic Economic Plan.

We want to create a modern, efficient and reliable transport system. This will help to:

• create jobs
• support new housing developments
• boost the economy
• tackle climate change

Local authorities and partners use the strategy to help them plan.

We're reviewing the strategy because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We'll publish a new Local Transport Plan in 2021. This will replace the Movement for Growth strategy.
