Pay with Swift

You can now Pay with Swift when hiring a WM Cycle bike or parking your car

What is Pay with Swift?

Pay using any payment methods stored in your Swift account (Swift Go balance, Stored payment cards etc.), giving security and peace of mind. 

Where can I use it?

Pay with swift is currently available to activate in the Beryl Bikes App and for parking at the Longbridge Park & Ride location.

What is the Beryl Bikes App?

Beryl Bikes allows you to find and unlock and pay for a hire bike from one of the many distinctive green Beryl Bays in the West Midlands!

How do I use Swift to pay for my WM cycle bike hire?

1. When prompted to choose a payment method, select the option to Pay with Swift.

2. You'll be asked to log into your existing Swift account or create a new one.

3. Once logged in, you be asked to choose from your existing Swift payment methods (Swift Go balance, stored card etc.).

4. Once selected you'll be prompted to authorise your selection.

You will now Pay with Swift when you hire a WM Cycle bike.

In App Error codes

Error 100: The account is not eligible to use Pay with Swift

If you've seen this code please check the following:

Reason for seeing the code:

  1. Swift Account doesn’t exist as has not been set-up - You need to have a Swift account to use Pay with Swift. [explain how to Set up a Swift account and that they need to add a payment method]
  2. Swift Account exists but is no longer Active / Closed - Your Swift account is inactive or closed. You need to set up a new account to use pay with Swift. Once you have set up an account you will need to return to the Beryl app to set up Pay with Swift. [explain how to Set up a Swift account and that they need to add a payment method]
  3. Swift Account exists but On-hold due to Non-Payment - Your Swift account is in arrears. You need to make a payment to continue with your bike hire. [explain how to make a payment]
  4. Swift Account has insufficient funds (if a required funds level was set up during onboarding) - Your Swift account has insufficient funds. You need to make a payment to continue with your bike hire. [explain how to make a payment]

Error 103: Incorrect payment method in Swift account

If you've seen this code:

Check that you have a valid payment method in your Swift account. [explain how to add a payment method]

[explain if you have an issue with payment but have a Swift account please check that you have a valid payment method in your Swift account]

Check that your bank card has not expired or cancelled

Make sure you have a bank card saved in your account

Check that your mobility credit balance is above zero

Please update your account with a suitable payment method.
