There are three main schemes in the West Midlands:
- West Midlands Cycle Hire
- Brompton folding bikes in Birmingham City Centre
- Borrow a Bike free of charge if you are a Birmingham Leisure cardholder
You can also hire e-scooters in certain areas of the West Midlands
Find a cycling club
There are lots of ways to meet other cyclists. Cycling clubs can help you to grow your confidence, improve your ability or compete.

- Beacon Roads Cycling Club - 20 to 30-mile rides at a pace of 10mph in South Birmingham
- Bournville Gentle Cycling - Rides for beginners of up to 10 miles
- Breeze rides - A programme to help women get into cycling
- Coventry Road Club - Rides at different levels with a minimum pace of 12 to 14mph
- CTC Coventry - Touring based club affiliated with Cycling UK
- Cycle Solihull - Provides local cycle route information and organises different level rides from family-focused up to 30-miles
- Godiva Trailriders - Mountain bike club with rides on rugged terrain
- Halesowen Cycling Club - A competitive and racing club
- Handsworth Community Cycle Club - Organises sessions to help people to learn how to ride a bike and leisure rides for beginners and families
- Heart of England Cycling Club - Longer rides at a moderate pace (12-13mph) and slower pace (9mph) in the countryside
- Let's Ride - Social rides for all levels, distances and abilities
- Longbridge Cycling Club - Fun and social rides at a pace of 10 to 12mph
- Nuneaton CTC Cycling Club - Touring based club that organises three 30-mile rides a week

- StourBug - Social rides and mountain bike rides affiliated with Cycling UK
- Vista - Fun rides and social events in Coventry for people who are visually impaired
- Wheels for All - Special sessions where trained leaders help disabled people get used to adapted bikes
