Inclusive cycling

Cycling is a great way to keep active. You can still join in if you’re disabled or have extra needs.

There are lots of ways to get involved across the West Midlands.

Cycling for all ages, abilities and needs

Parkride is a free service in Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield. It gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy cycling. You can ride adapted and mainstream bikes for free.

It does not matter how old you are - there are sessions for families and for adults.

Families and carers can also enjoy cycling together at Wheels for All sessions:

An instructor will lead the session. There’s a full range of adapted bikes for people of all ages, including children and elderly people.

Love to Ride West Midlands is a community for everyone. You can get cycling advice and encouragement. Sign up to log your rides, set goals and get support from others.

Improve your cycling skills

If you want to improve your skills, you can try a Cycling with Confidence course. These are run by the Parkride team. They are for anyone over the age of 16. You can use a mainstream bike or an adapted bike.

There are Cycling with Confidence courses in:

  • Birmingham
  • Coventry
  • Dudley
  • Sandwell
  • Solihull
  • Walsall
  • Wolverhampton
