B4438 Closure
HS2 is creating four connecting highways bridges to link the new road network with existing routes.
The first of these new bridges was successfully installed in August 2020, the second, over the A446 in October 2020.
To take traffic over the future railway route, HS2 is continuing to construct two bridges on HS2 land surrounded by the A452, A45 and M42. No traffic measures are required to complete these bridges.
To enable the connection of parts of the existing road network safely and smoothly to the new routes being created, a series of weekend road closures will be installed throughout 2021 on and around Northway Island.
There will be a weekend closure on a short section of the B4438 from 8pm on Friday 26 March, to 5am on Monday 29 March.
