What’s happening?
The A46 is an important road link between the East and West Midlands, connecting Coventry and Warwickshire to the motorway network.
The scheme, managed by Highways England and Coventry City Council, includes building a flyover to separate local and commuter traffic at the locally-known TGI island near Binley.
Work to develop plans for Walsgrave junction, the second phase of the A46 Coventry Junctions scheme, is continuing.

Northbound
- 40mph speed limit from a point south of Oak Tree Road to A46/B4082 Walsgrave roundabout
- Narrowed lanes from a point south of Oak Tree Road to A46/A428 Binley roundabout.
Southbound
- 40mph speed limit from A46/B4082 Walsgrave roundabout to a point south of BP service station
- Narrowed lanes from Brinklow Road bridge to the BP service station
